RePlanet announces new Secretary General

The Board of environmental NGO RePlanet is pleased to announce the appointment of Karolina Lisslö Gylfe as Secretary General. Since 2021, Lisslö Gylfe worked for RePlanet’s member organisation in Sweden, helping it turn into a popular platform for people who support both a sustainable future and human flourishing.

Lisslö Gylfe is an award-winning social entrepreneur. She co-founded two businesses, Greenovate, which sells organic products from local birch sap, and Bee Urban, which offers services for pollinating insects and birds. With Mattecentrum, she helped grow a free service for help with homework in mathematics into the Best Education Website in Sweden. Lisslö Gylfe is trained as a biologist, having obtained a degree from Stockholm University.

'Karolina brings a wealth of experience that will benefit our organisation', says Adam Blazowski, Chair of RePlanet’s Board. 'Her skills in developing an efficient organisational structure will surely help RePlanet grow. As a biologist, she embodies RePlanet’s conviction that we need science-based solutions to climate change and biodiversity loss.'

'I’m very excited to be serving RePlanet in a new role', says Lisslö Gylfe. 'RePlanet gives a voice to a growing group of environmentalists who wish to see more ambitious and more efficient policies on nature protection and global development. I’m looking forward to continuing our journey to a greener and more prosperous planet.'

RePlanet is a network of several NGOs in Europe who are driven by science-based solutions to climate change, biodiversity collapse and the need to eliminate poverty. RePlanet, whose SwitchOffPutin campaign has gotten coverage in The Guardian, is partly supported by grants from private charitable foundations who share our values, partly from individual contributions and from the time donated by our volunteers in each member country.
